Rhododendron Anthopogon, or dwarf rhododendron, grows wild on the high mountain slopes of Nepal.
Traditionally used in incense offerings and herbal blends, it remains deeply rooted in local knowledge and spiritual practice. The oil has a lovely sweet, herbal, balsamic aroma. Except for it's pleasant aroma, it is used for its antibacterial and calming properties, for respiratory and pain relief. Collection takes place in remote areas, several hours walk from the nearest road, at 4000 meters altitude and more.
